Yellow Submarine Film Poster

From: 90,00 zł
Psychedelic shapes around a central object, colour at maximum saturation, lettering drawn as part of the illustration, perspective decorative. The late 1960s produced a brief and total marriage between music graphics and film advertising, a poster that looked like a record sleeve grown to wall size. The effect was designed

Next Wave Festival Poster

From: 90,00 zł
The Next Wave Festival opened at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 1983 as a home for work that fitted nowhere else and its first poster was Roy Lichtenstein’s. Abstract, loud and built to be read across a lobby, it treats the announcement as an event in itself. It suits

Dubonnet Vintage Poster

From: 90,00 zł
A figure in profile raising a glass, flat colour, a confident contour, lettering large and simple below. Aperitif advertising between the wars produced some of the most confident graphic work in Europe: the product was ordinary, the budget real and the sheet had to work on a café wall at

Aspen Winter Jazz Poster

From: 90,00 zł
Abstract shapes in warm colour on a diagonal, lettering set by hand rather than in a standard face, four or five flat notes and no border to hold it in. Jazz festivals discovered early that the poster could be part of the performance, commissioned from artists, printed in small runs,

Pop Art Plate Poster

From: 90,00 zł
Pop art took the ordinary plate off the table and put it on the wall, flat colour and all. This one keeps the joke going with a bright rim and a design that stays legible from the doorway. It behaves like a sign rather than a picture. Strong above a

Dune Arrakis Sand Poster

From: 90,00 zł
Dunes drawn as long soft ridges running to a low horizon, the sand in warm tones shifting from light at the crest to darker at the foot, no figure and no object. The image is a tribute to Arrakis, the desert planet at the centre of the Dune saga, where

Ripe Poster

From: 90,00 zł
Fruit drawn at the size of a face, the skin a single flat colour, the shadow suggested by nothing at all, lettering set vertically beside it. Food graphics have always worked by exaggeration, a fruit bigger than a hand, a colour brighter than the real thing, a shape simplified until

Exhibition 1986 Poster

From: 90,00 zł
Large shapes in a few strong colours on a grid the shapes deliberately break, exhibition details in a modern face, nothing illustrated. By the 1980s the exhibition poster had become an object people bought as much as a notice they read and designers worked accordingly. Large flat colour and aggressive

Dune Sand Arrakis Poster

From: 90,00 zł

Arrakis Dunes Art Poster

From: 90,00 zł
Close on the dunes: ridges drawn as hundreds of fine parallel lines, sand in ochre and rust, a huge orange planet hanging above the crest, and DUNE lettered faintly into the sky. The whole picture is texture — no figures, no horizon, just wind on sand. Pigment print on 210 gsm

Dune Desert Poster

From: 90,00 zł
Sand filling almost the whole frame, ridges running to a low horizon, a single figure standing small against a dune, with no props and no drama. A desert works because it is nearly abstract before anything is added, and a landscape of scarcity shapes the people living in it.

The Velvet Underground and Nico Poster

From: 90,00 zł
A single yellow banana, printed with visible screen texture, black type above it in a compressed grotesque: THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO. Nothing else — no photograph, no credits, no border. Bob Marley Concert Poster

From: 90,00 zł
A portrait in flat, warm colour with lettering above and below, the face simplified to a few decisive shapes, the subject looking straight out. Reggae reached Europe and America through concert posters and sleeves long before radio caught up and Bob Marley stood at the centre of that movement.

Tapies For The Exhibition Poster

From: 90,00 zł
A surface rather than a picture: scratched, scraped, layered, with a few marks that could be letters or could be wounds, earth and grey throughout. The work belongs to Antoni Tàpies and to post-war European painting that turned to the material itself, plaster, sand, cloth, as a way of refusing

Yayoi Kusama Pumpkin

From: 90,00 zł
A rounded form covered in a net of repeating dots, each one placed by hand, the pattern bending where the surface curves, the object filling the sheet. The pumpkin is one of the recurring subjects in Yayoi Kusama’s work and the dot is the unit that builds it, repeated until

Grateful Dead Poster

From: 90,00 zł
Lettering that behaves like an illustration, the band name drawn as a shape, curling around a central image, colour printed flat in overlapping areas. San Francisco in the late 1960s produced a poster style of its own and the Dead were at the centre of that scene. The lettering was

Yellow posters, and the colour that arrives before the picture

Yellow is found before it is read. On a wall it behaves as light rather than colour, which is why it pulls a room together from the far corner, and why one wrong shade makes everything beside it look grey.

The sheets here use it in different amounts. The plate of overlapping circles and dots, printed as flat as a label lets yellow fill the page. The festival sheet, one bold abstract form in yellow and black holds it back to a single shape. The film festival notice, clean lines and a few saturated areas keeps its yellow in the lettering instead.

Hang one, not three. Yellow does not need company.
