Kids Posters

Kids posters, and the drawings that hold a nursery wall

A drawing for a child's room has a job the rest of the collection does not: it has to work from a low angle, from a bed, from the floor. Shape before detail, colour before nuance.

A koala sitting upright on a sky-blue ground, drawn in a thick black line with flat grey fur and round ears is almost all outline and reads across a room. The armadillo, warm orange and brown on a bright yellow ground is the busiest of them and still lands at a glance. The boy robot against a deep green field borrows a face a child already knows.

Hang them low. A drawing at a child's eye level is a different sheet.
