Green posters, and the two ways to use it

Green can be a field or it can be weather. On a sheet it either fills the page and becomes the subject, or it stays behind the subject and tells you what season the picture is in.

The Taguchi page, a deep green rectangle with birds in silver-grey line crossing it and calligraphy down the right edge, is the first kind: the colour is the picture and the birds are the interruption. The Killer Shrews sheet, a long tail crossing green water with an overturned shoe beside it, is the second: the green is night, and a little red in the corner is the only thing that breaks it.

One settles a wall, the other gives it a story.
