Edvard Munch Man's Head in Woman's Hair Poster

From: 20,40 €
A face half buried in a mass of hair that fills most of the sheet, lines loose, colour thin, no background and no distance. Norwegian painting at the end of the nineteenth century turned to subjects considered private, anxiety, jealousy, illness and the handling here is deliberately unfinished.

Taguchi Tomoki Woodblock III Poster

From: 20,40 €
A deep green rectangle filling most of the sheet, with three small birds drawn in silver-grey line across it — wings swept back, mid-flight — and a column of calligraphy down the right-hand edge. Taguchi Tomoki Woodblock I Poster

From: 20,40 €
A bird on a branch, the branch drawn first and the bird placed on it, contour of even weight, colour flat inside the line, the sheet mostly paper. Nineteenth-century Japanese woodblock printing was a collaboration of designer, cutter and printer, and the discipline produced an image without shading.

Egon Schiele Secession 49 Ausstellung Poster

From: 20,40 €
Typography as the subject: lettering stacked in a narrow column, weights changing line to line, a small block of colour holding the composition. Exhibition posters of the Vienna Secession treated a notice as a piece of design, type drawn rather than set, space used as an active element.

Van Gogh Almond Blossom Poster

From: 20,40 €
Branches crossing a pale sky, blossom painted with short even strokes, the blue behind them flat and cool, the tree cropped so it fills the sheet. Van Gogh painted flowering branches in the south of France as a subject of celebration, keeping the sky simple so the blossom would carry

Helene Schjerfbeck Girl from Eydtkuhnen poster

From: 20,40 €
A girl seated with her hands in her lap, the face turned slightly away, the dress drawn with a few decisive lines, the background almost blank. Helene Schjerfbeck painted the same themes for decades and simplified each one further with every return, working in Finland while modernism was argued elsewhere.

William Morris Blackthorn Poster

From: 20,40 €
A pattern of blackthorn branches carrying small blossom and dark berries, drawn so stems curve and cross without ever meeting at a centre, the design repeating in both directions. Blackthorn is one of the repeating patterns designed by William Morris, who worked from plant studies rather than ornament books.

Expo 78 Paris Berlin Poster

From: 20,40 €
Overlapping forms in strong colour, lettering on two axes, a composition that refuses symmetry and looks constructed rather than drawn. In 1978 a major Paris exhibition examined the cultural relationship between Paris and Berlin in the early twentieth century and borrowed its graphics from the period it described.

Grateful Dead Poster

From: 20,40 €
Lettering that behaves like an illustration, the band name drawn as a shape, curling around a central image, colour printed flat in overlapping areas. San Francisco in the late 1960s produced a poster style of its own and the Dead were at the centre of that scene. The lettering was

Classic Cinema Icon Poster

From: 20,40 €
A single object presented as a monument: a silhouette centred on a plain ground, lettering formal beneath it, no scene and no depth. Film advertising learned early that a symbol travelled further than a still, a hat, a profile, a gesture could sell a picture before anyone knew its title.

Charming Koala Poster

From: 20,40 €
A koala with a soft, rounded outline on a curving branch, the colour flat, the shapes simplified until the animal reads as a symbol rather than a study. Contemporary work in a long tradition of illustrations made to be understood before they can be read. It sits well low on

Close Encounter 02 Poster

From: 20,40 €
A light source breaking through darkness from below, its outline irregular, the landscape reduced to a silhouette, lettering small at the top. Science fiction posters of the 1970s discovered that a glow could do the work of a monster, light from an unseen source, a horizon, a title.

Braque La Bibliotheque Art Poster

From: 20,40 €
Birds drawn with a single contour and no interior detail, their shapes repeated across a blue field brushed on unevenly that stops where it stops. Late in a long career, a painter who had spent decades taking still lifes apart returned to birds and kept drawing them the same way:

Moon Series Artistic Poster

From: 20,40 €
A moon reduced to a disc, its surface suggested by a few textured marks, the sky a flat field of colour, composition centred and scale deliberately ambiguous. It could be graphic or a portrait. Images of the moon sit between illustration and diagram and contemporary graphic work borrowed both habits

1930 Monaco Grand Prix Racing Poster

From: 20,40 €
A racing car forced into the foreground, its body reduced to a few pale shapes and its wheels smeared into ellipses, the city behind held flat like a stage backdrop. Posters of the late 1920s and 1930s were drawn by illustrators who understood that a car is mostly movement and

Posters by colour: start from the wall, not the name

Every page here holds work that shares a dominant tone. Black and brown are the quiet ones — they hold a room together without asking for attention. Blue and green cool a space down; red and yellow do the opposite, and they do it immediately.

The grouping is a starting point, not a rule. Plenty of these posters belong to two pages at once: a Bauhaus print can be red and geometric, a Japanese woodblock can be blue and botanical.

How to use a colour page

Decide what the room is missing rather than what it already has. A room full of wood and clay usually wants one cool note; a white room that feels unfinished wants one warm one. Pick the shade the space lacks and the wall starts doing work for you.

A single strong colour carries further than a careful mix of several. If you are buying two posters, let one lead and keep the other quiet — see minimal for prints that will not fight back.

Which tone goes where

  • Black — hallways, studies, anywhere the wall is beside a door or a shelf.
  • Blue — bedrooms and bathrooms; it reads as distance and air.
  • Red — one accent wall, never two. It advances and stays forward.
  • Yellow — kitchens and children's rooms; it is the closest thing to daylight on a wall.
  • Green and brown — rooms with plants, wood floors and clay; they sit beside natural materials rather than on top of them.

Paper, sizes and delivery

Everything is a pigment print on 210 gsm Hahnemühle paper, in sizes from 30×40 to 70×100 cm plus A3 and A2. Frames are not included — a thin black or natural oak frame keeps flat colour clean. Orders ship within 24 hours and arrive in 3–5 working days inside the EU, in a tracked tube.

Not sure where to start? The iconic collection and the geometric prints are the two easiest entry points.
