We publish a journal about posters: what they show, how they are made and how they live on a wall. This page explains what you will find here, who writes it and what we do not do.
What we write about
Four subjects, and we stay inside them.
Artists and movements. Who made the image, what the movement was about and why a particular poster looks the way it does. We write about Bauhaus, Japanese graphic design, mid-century Polish poster school and the artists we carry.
Interiors and walls. How a poster behaves in a room: size against furniture, hanging height, spacing in a group, light and colour on a wall.
Print and paper. How a poster is printed, what resolution a file needs, why margins matter. Practical knowledge for anyone who prints.
Guides. Answering the question someone typed into a search box: which size for a sofa wall, how many posters fit, how to frame without glass glare.
Who writes it
The journal is written in-house. We are a small team running a poster shop, and we write about what we actually deal with: files, prints, walls and the images themselves.
We do not publish sponsored articles, paid placements or texts written to sell a particular product. If a post mentions a poster, it is because the image is the subject, not because we need to move stock.
How often
One substantial piece a month, plus short notes when we finish a series of interior visualisations. We would rather publish twelve useful texts a year than fifty thin ones.
How we work with images
Photographs and visualisations published here are made by us. They show our own prints in rooms we have styled. If you would like to use one, write to us first: we usually say yes and ask for a credit link.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us and we will correct it and say so in the text. Posters carry dates, names and editions, and those are easy to get wrong.
Contact
Editorial questions go through our contact form at /contact-us/. We do not publish an e-mail address on this page — it attracts spam, and we would rather answer you directly.
